When I feel like I am hitting a major personal/spiritual growth point, I typically want to default to legalism and rule following. Ya know, because I need to keep myself in check. It is what I was taught growth to be. The more constraints & suffering = more “godliness.”
I am learning that the real truth is more love = more divinity. Compassion, empathy, speaking up, sitting still, diving in, doing the work… Loving. Growth looks like the transformation of what was, into what could be. The harder I pursue love, the more growth I experirence.
